As long as men and women could, they have been amusing themselves my making pretty things to decorate themselves with, such as making glass out of sand and putting beads in beautiful combinations, or melting the metals out of rocks and pounding or pouring it into appealing shapes and meaningful symbols. It is amazing to reflect on the great lengths we have always gone to, to adorn ourselves. Nowadays we simply find pieces we “can’t live without”, plunk down some of our money, and enjoy how great we look!
Decorations hanging from our ears started early on, however, many of us think we cannot wear earrings anymore. We do not have pierced ears and clip on earring are too painful, or they fall off and are lost in a flash. Some of us had our ears pierced years ago, but the holes have gotten longer and longer due to the heavy earrings we like, or because of the babies who pulled on them until they looked like slits.

It is hand forged by well-known metal artist, Nicole Hansen. They texture makes it sparkle. You can slip the long drop or square mobile on or off the hoop, thus giving you the option of 4 earrings in one….great for traveling! She has made five different mobile for our collection.
